Cut plane (3Dcut)
3Dcut is the cutplan manager for 3D. The cutplan is an interactive object inserted in the scene.
The cutplan can be activated by clicking on the button
of the toolbar.
The user has the possibility to move or rotate the plan with the plan's handles.
The handles are in the center of the plan and on its cardinal extremities, such as the top-center, the top-right or the bottom-left positions.
When the user double clicks the center of the plan, the plan position is restored at the center of the scene.
If the user clicks and drags an extremity handle, the plan rotates on the opposite axis by following the mouse moves. For example, if the user drags the top-center handle, the cutplan rotates on its horizontal axis.
When the center of the cutplan is dragged, the whole plan is translated on its perpendicular axis.
A list of options is inserted in the treeview when the cutplan is activated, as shown in the screenshot.
These options allow changing the cutplan colors, and the automatic resizing that forces the handles of the cutplan to be always visible.
